Mercedes-Benz set to trounce contenders through novel sports car

The setting is ready and if everything goes right, the next innovation of Mercedes-Benz, globally acclaimed German manufacturer of luxury automobiles, the new sports car may not only exceed the magisterial contenders but trounce them as well. It has come to the knowledge that the celebrated manufacturer is engaged with working on a new sports car based on an abridged version of the 2010 SLS AMG’s platform and has the sole intention to overwhelm Porsche 911 in all possible manners.

What is more, the groundbreaking (alleged) Mercedes-Benz sports car will copy the SLS AMG’s aluminum construction but will fail to retain the funky gullwing doors.

What shall be the case then? Well, as per company officials, there shall be the introduction of standard front-hinged doors and this may lessen costs to a large extent. There shall also be the inclusion of AMG’s next-generation V-8 engine, a 5.5-liter unit with direct-injection and turbocharging technologies and an output of around 500-horsepower; surely these are enough to make the blue-blooded vehicle more gallant.
This may attract you a lot; acceleration times for the 0-60 mph dash are likely to plunge around the 4.5 second mark.

It has been learnt that the novel sports car is tipped to be called the SSK AMG and is due for launch in 2014--an open top roadster version is a well-nigh conviction.

What has made Mercedes-Benz launch the novel sports car? Is it to rout Porsche 911 only? Well, analysts consider that there are a few reasons save for this. They indicate that the decision to build more individual AMG models is to help set up the Mercedes-Benz in-house tuner as a separate sports car manufacturer and through this it can pose a direct challenge to smaller players in the supercar arena including Pagani and McLaren.

Mercedes-Benz is a German manufacturer of luxury automobiles, buses, coaches, and trucks and is, at the moment, a division of the parent company, Daimler AG (formerly DaimlerChrysler AG.
